Legal Notices & Policies

1. Arizona Fee Compliance Statement

All notarial fees comply with Arizona Revised Statutes § 41‑316. Notarial acts are limited to $10 per signature. Mobile travel fees are separate, not regulated by the State of Arizona, and are agreed upon prior to the appointment.

2. Travel Fee Disclosure

Travel fees are due upon arrival and are charged even if the notarization cannot be completed due to incomplete documents, lack of valid identification, signer unwillingness, or any circumstance outside the notary’s control.

3. Identification Requirement

A valid, government‑issued photo ID is required for all notarizations. The notary must be able to verify identity, willingness, and awareness before performing any notarial act.

Accepted IDs include:

  • Arizona driver’s license or ID
  • U.S. passport
  • Military ID
  • Tribal ID
  • Out‑of‑state driver’s license

4. Not Legal Advice Disclaimer

Notaries are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice, interpret documents, or explain their legal effect. Please consult an attorney for legal questions or document guidance.

This is essential for liability protection.

5. Right to Refuse Service

The notary may refuse service if identification is insufficient, the signer appears unwilling or unaware, the document is incomplete, or the request is outside the scope of authorized notarial acts.

6. Privacy & Document Handling

All documents and personal information are handled confidentially. Only information required by Arizona law is recorded in the notary journal. No documents are retained, copied, or stored unless explicitly required for a contracted service.

7. Remote Online Notarization

Remote Online Notarization (RON) is performed in accordance with A.R.S. § 41‑371 through § 41‑380. Each RON act is limited to a $10 statutory fee.

A. Cancellation Policy

Travel fees are non‑refundable once the notary is en route.   Cancellations made more than 2 hours before the appointment incur no charge. Cancellations made within 2 hours of the appointment may incur a partial travel fee. If the notary arrives and the appointment cannot be completed due to client error (no ID, incomplete documents, signer unavailable), the full travel fee is due.

B. Refund Policy

Statutory notary fees are only charged when a notarization is successfully completed.   Travel fees are non‑refundable once travel has begun. If the notary must cancel due to an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, all prepaid fees are refunded in full.

C. Witness Policy

Clients are responsible for providing witnesses unless prior arrangements are made.   Witnesses must:
Be 18 or older
Not be named in the document

Wait time fees may apply for facilities with security or medical delays.

In a no‑show situation:
The full travel fee is due
A second trip requires a new appointment and travel fee
